Job Title: General Fleet Mechanic

Job Summary:

Large Electrical Contractor is looking for an experienced, highly motivated General Fleet Mechanic. This position is responsible for performing all maintenance and repairs of a 100+ specialty construction fleet under the direct supervision of the Fleet Manager. Equipment includes, but is not limited to bucket trucks, auger trucks, trenchers, trailers and small engines. Salary will be commensurable with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing vehicle maintenance on a large construction fleet consisting of both gasoline and diesel.
  • Diagnosing and repair of all vehicles and equipment.
  • Moving vehicles safely between jobs and work areas.
  • Continuous re-certification to maintain all licenses.
  • Performing road calls and emergency services as necessary.
  • Report directly to the Fleet Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • CDL and NYS Heavy Duty Inspection Licenses.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of direct automotive repair experience with a large fleet.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems.
  • Must have own transportation.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Must be detail oriented.
