Hiring 1 Welder, Contract to Hire for Government Contracting Client:


  • $18-25/ Hour +Per Diem
  • 50-75% Travel
  • Must HOLD OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN a Security Clearance
  • 40+ Hours/ Week
  • Contract to Hire Opportunity


Supporting radar system maintenance, Welders will survey a job to determine materials needed then order material from local steel supplier.Notch, bend and wedge steel members, as needed using power equipment.Cut steel members to indicated lengths using a tape measure and cutting equipment.Lay out steel members and sheet steel and weld material.Maintain welding equipment by changing gas bottles and welding wire.General preventative maintenance of welding equipment.Inspect completed fabricated items for proper specifications using tape measure and square.May perform miscellaneous duties including loading/unloading trucks. May operate other machinery such as forklifts.Will be required to travel to various locations around the United States and Europe EXPECTATIONS:

  • Experience with MIG and TIG welding
  • Willingness to be part of a team but independent and motivated for a job well done
  • 1-2 yrs. welding experience
  • Able to perform own layouts and use jigs
  • Able to lift 75 lbs
  • Must be able to work around heat and chemicals
  • Sense of humor with a desire to learn
