Job Description

Job summary:Coordinate and support all activities related to processes, practices and systems functionality in the Quote to Cash, CRM and Reporting processes to assure the continuity of the CEMEX business applications, to evolve current processes and systems and to implement global and regional projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Liaison between IT and business owners
  • Identify business needs to make a value proposition
  • Ensure Information Technology solutions are aligned with top-level strategies
  • Support business case preparation for portfolio management (project approval)
  • Support CEMEX global network with local business knowledge
  • Support the design of global solutions and manage local deployment
  • Provide solutions to existing local needs and requirements
  • Support new business scenarios definition and processes optimization
  • Design and approve minor business process enhancements
  • Quality assurance for business continuity
  • Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in computer systems or engineering
  • 5 years of experience in Information Technology working on Business Processes, Applications and Project Management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of PC Programs (Microsoft Office, Outlook, IBM Notes, SAP ECC, SAP CRM and web applications.
  • High Level of Expertise on Processes & Systems
  • Knowledge of CEMEX Business Operations Model
  • Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure platforms
  • Knowledge of Business process designs and redesign methodologies
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and mouse
  • Customer service oriented, with great customer relationship and communication
Working conditions:
  • Works in office and occasionally at plants, terminals, warehouses and other facilities
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • May be required to work after hours and on weekends or holidays for project implementation
  • Domestic and international travel required
Physical requirements:
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.   Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
