Current Need

As a SQL developer, you will work closely with the MacroHelix internal project teams to implement our applications/solutions in the most effective way to maximize the client investment and meet their business and technical objectives. This position will be part of the development team and will be maintaining and creating SQL procedures and logic. The position will be involved in variety of activities including SSRS, creating procedures, patching bugs/faulty logic, and working closely with Product Management and Operations to understand the evolving platform and its features.

Position Description

Establishes database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy. Documents and communicates database design. Evaluates and installs database management systems. Codes complex programs and derives logical processes on technical platforms. Builds windows, screens and reports. Assists in the design of user interface and business application prototypes. Participates in quality assurance and develops test application code in client server environment. Responsible for devising, negotiating, and defending the tables and fields provided in the database. Adapts business requirements, developed by modeling/development staff and systems engineers, and develops the data, database specifications, table and element attributes for an application. At more experienced levels, helps to develop an understanding of client's original data and storage mechanisms. Determines appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization. Determines how tables relate to each other and how fields interact within the tables for a relational model.


  • Use TFS & Salesforce as primary methods to track enhancements/bugs.

  • Create new logic and features using TSQL, SSIS, & SSRS

  • Correct and patch bugs in existing code/processes using TSQL, SSIS, & SSRS

  • Create database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, etc)

  • Make recommendations to improve and gain efficiency for existing


  • Create ER diagrams for proposed database

  • Maintain referential integrity, domain integrity and column integrity by using the available options such as constraints

  • Proactively identify potential blocking, deadlocking and address

  • Develop and schedule reports in SSRS
  • Documentation of any processes created or updates made
  • Participate in discussions involving the application creation and understand the requirements and provide the back-end functionality for the application

Minimum Requirements

2+ years experience in programming on enterprise

or department servers or systems



  • Knowledge of TSQL and OLTP topics such as Normalization, data types, query tuning, indexing, constraints, and query plan

  • Ability to break down and solve complex engineering problems

  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Healthcare experience and/or working knowledge of medical

    terminology preferred

  • Experience in SSIS & SSRS

  • Ability to write technical documents
  • Ability to be effective in a rapidly growing organization
  • Possess excellent listening skills and a commitment to communicating in a clear, concise and timely manner at all times

  • Possess exceptional skills in partnering with clients staff and in developing and maintaining long-term supportive relationships

  • Ability to organize time effectively while identifying barriers to progress, proposing solutions and setting priorities


4-year degree in computer science or related

field or equivalent experience
