Job Description


As a Levy Restaurants Location Controller, you will be responsible for providing The Levy Difference in accounting services to internal and external guests and suppliers. Results are achieved by implementing effective internal controls and efficient processes, through leadership and management skills, and by living our visions and values

Major Areas of Responsibility

All performance standards are achieved through the use of the Financial Services Core Signatures.


  • Supports company initiatives within the department
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, not-for-profits and Levy Restaurants team members
  • Maintains positive relationships with internal and external guests, and ensures prompt response and resolution to all guest inquiries
  • Acts as a liaison with team, including partner's operational team, Levy Restaurants team and other areas as needed to ensure efficient operational performance
  • Completes all projects in a timely and professional manner


  • Thoroughly and accurately uses applicable Levy systems (BOSS, Point-of-sale, WFM and more)
  • Oversees completion of required department reports and information is compiled at month end closing
  • Ensures team members adhere to Levy Restaurants Company guidelines as stated in team member training manual and employee handbook
  • Effectively implements financial processes and systems to complete responsibilities
  • Develops and implements MAP objectives to achieve Financial Services goals
  • Oversees all payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable process
  • Oversees accuracy and timely submission of all payroll information
  • Ensures all sales reports and financial statements are accurate prior to distribution
  • Clearly communicates financial results to management on a regular basis
  • Provides accurate and targeted financial analysis as requested


  • Staffs department to meet operational needs
  • Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
  • Displays a positive attitude towards team members
  • Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale
  • Conducts regular scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and department team members
  • Interviews, hires, trains and develops team members according to Levy Restaurants guidelines
  • Mentors department managers to develop their skills and leadership abilities

Required Skills:

We are looking for a Controller with at least 2 years' experience as a Location Controller and 5-10 years of accounting experience preferably in the Hospitality Industry. Candidates should be business partners who bring passion an enthusiasm along with a proven track record of being organized, dependable and self-motivated. A degree Accounting or a related field is preferred.

Job Requirements

  • English reading, writing, math and computer skills required
  • Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift
  • May be required to perform diverse physical tasks
  • Possible hazards include, but are not limited to; slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains
  • Stamina to work 60 hours or more per week.
  • Must be flexible with schedule, able to work different shifts
  • Ability to use hands in using office equipment, including the computer system
  • Ability to talk and hear to conduct phone correspondence
  • Close vision and focus capabilities to view computer screen and company documents
