Current Need

McKesson's RelayHealth Pharmacy division has an opening in our Atlanta, GA North Druid Hills office for a Director of Pharma Software Product Management. This is an office based position and requires up to 15% occasional travel.

This position is responsible for directing RelayHealth's Pharma Software Product Management team to attain the near and longer term P&L objectives of the business unit. Will work with the pharma product management team, the VP of Product Management and VP of Product strategy and business development, Business development team and other stakeholders to develop enhancements to existing software products and develop new, innovative products within the targeted markets to maintain and grow RelayHealth's market share, profit and leadership position. The Product Director is responsible for the success of the products as measured by the product P&L.



Responsibilities

  • Pharma product portfolio P&L

  • Direct a team of Product managers

  • Software Product life cycle management (Concept to end-of-life)

  • Manage the product portfolio and pipeline, according to established objectives and accepted operational processes

  • Maximize market potential through in-depth understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and market requirements

  • Position RelayHealth Pharmacy solutions compared to competition and alternative solutions, including pricing, value, functionality, and other measurements

  • Develop product value propositions and positioning of RelayHealth solutions with pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmacies and other segments as they evolve

  • Collaborate with sales leadership, sales executives, account managers, business partners, customers, and other McKesson business units to understand customer and market needs and determine how RelayHealth can best satisfy those needs

  • Ensure product development schedules meet customer and market needs



Minimum Requirements

8+ years of product management experience including 5+ years managerial experience



Critical Skills

  • 8+ years of software product management experience

  • 5+ years experience managing people

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

  • 5+ years managing P&Ls

  • 5+ years recent experience with pharmaceutical manufacturers or pharmaceutical related industries and products

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated success in Software Product management processes, methodologies

  • Sales and marketing experience a plus

  • Demonstrated ability and success in pricing products

  • Demonstrated success in launching products and gaining market share

  • Outstanding verbal (presentation) and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to visualize and/or contribute to the presentation of an idea or project (from concept and design to presentation)

  • Strong understanding of various business areas of companies (such as IT, legal, sales, marketing, service) and how each area contributes to the effective management of new initiatives

  • Ability to quickly adapt and adjust to change

  • Results orientation



Education

BA/BS Degree. MBA preferred in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience



Physical Requirements



General Office Demands

Ability to travel 15%.
