Kelly Educational Staffing is hiring Paraprofessionals to work in the Orange County Public Schools System. As a paraprofessional with Kelly Educational Staffing, you can enjoy a flexible schedule that does not require weekends or holidays! JOB DESCRIPTION: As a paraprofessional you will provided staff support in an educational environment, performing paraprofessional work in assisting teachers and students. You are required to work with children individually or in small groups by providing basic instruction in reading, writing, math, spelling, art, or - Monitors activities and behavior of children during and in the absence of classroom teachers to ensure environmental safe keeping of the students, as well as adherence to appropriate conduct and disciplinary controls. - Assist teachers in the supervision of learning activities, circulating within the classroom and providing assistance and learning support to students. - Follow lesson plans as required by teachers, school and Kelly Services policy. - Address the various learning styles of students accordingly. - Model correct use of spoken and written English language. - Demonstrate professional practices in teaching. Skills and Essential Job Function Requirements - Daily personal and close non-physical contact with children to provide classroom management and learning environment support. - Excellent listening and verbal communication skills for expressing or exchanging ideas and communicating lesson plans. - Must be able to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of work as well as directly observe students, surroundings, and activities. - Regular contact with other staff members and building administrators. - Frequent walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Other physical activities may be required.
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma Additional Minimum Requirements - Must be at least 18 years of age. - Must complete all hiring requirement - Must authorize and satisfactorily complete the appropriate background screening. - Must possess good judgment and demonstrate ethical behavior
