Kelly Services is hiring for Food Production workers. This is a COLD or WARM TEMPERATURE environment depending on the department you are assigned. At least 6 months previous warehouse experience required. Successful production workers will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining all equipment for proper operation, to include pressure cookers, incline belts, ricers, brine tanks and brine pumps. Properly fill out all paperwork. Drier logs, Brine batch and waste logs. Know how to make and record minor adjustments to all associated equipment. Know how to assemble and disassemble ricers, brine pumps and other equipment in the area. Participate in facility sanitation with primary responsibility being that of the pressure cookers, incline belts, brine tanks and impingement driers. Participate in daily and complete shutdown clean ups. Help provide breaks to bean wash operators. Keep all areas clean, including pressure cooker deck, ricer deck, as well as all tools and utensils used in those areas. Monitor equipment for proper operation, to include dryer discharges, conveyor operations, chopper operations and elevated conveyors operations and hourly checks. Keep all areas around dryers clean and free of debris to include abort chutes, utensils, walls, floors, sinks, drinking fountains, and tools used. Assist in paperwork documentation of the cooker processing areas and drying areas. In addition, must be able to keep work area clean and free of clutter and debris. Follow all food safety (GMP) and general safety guidelines. Contact supervisor in the event of a food safety issue. Complete other tasks as assigned and miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
- 1st and 2nd shift opportunities available. - Pay rate: $9.50 - $10.00 per hour - Must be flexible to work overtime as business dictates - 6 months previous warehouse experience - Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and stand on feet for entire shift - Good verbal communication skills - Read and understand required specifications - Complete basic math problems - Work quickly and repetitively to keep up with the flow of production
