Individual will be responsible for processing medical records and clerical duties for the HIM Department.
Must be able to Process Inpatient; Ancillary accounts; including Lab; X-ray; Tahoe Worx clinics; Therapies; Ambulatory Surgery; and the Emergency Room patient charts, Process requests for release of information in accordance with HIPAA and Privacy law standards. Use computer to process, store, and retrieve health information in Keane Health Information System (HIS). Provide information and assistance to physicians and staff as it pertains to record completion. Perform weekly mailings of notices to follow-up with practitioners regarding incomplete records. Be able to process birth certificates and death certificates. Perform qualitative and quantitative assessments of chart documentation.Assemble inpatient, ambulatory surgery, and emergency room records into established chart order. File records in designated file areas using the terminal digit numeric filing system.
Candidate will be performing administrative duties in this postion so having a background in medical and administration is a huge plus.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to submit to a backgrond and drug scree.
