Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for the administrative processes, leads strategic planning, and develops tactical initiatives of the assigned organization. Develops goals, objectives, strategies, and facilitates organizational growth and change.  Formulate, manage, and enforce administrative, operational, personnel and fiscal policies and procedures for the District. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the quality and administration of educational and administrative information systems and services, including academic and administrative enterprise information resource planning systems, learning management systems, technological infrastructure, networks, telecommunications services, security and emergency systems, and building/environmental control systems.  Designs, develops and implements comprehensive, computer based systems to ensure user needs are met and data is processed according to District specifications and requirements.  Coordinates technology support for all educational programs and services offered in the District, including distance education.  Keeps up-to-date on information technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.  Provides leadership in the development, coordination and execution of strategic and tactical plans relative to the deployment of academic and administrative technologies across the District, with the focus on student access and success.  Implements documentation standards and ensures adherence to those standards by managed staff.  Establishes Service Level Agreements according to best practices and District resource availability.  Supervises application services, infrastructure and network services and user support services.  Participates in the execution of enrollment management support services through the implementation of academic and student information systems and services.  Manage information technology support services including applications for the delivery of instruction, District operations, admissions, records, human resources, facilities development maintenance and business services.  A strategic understanding of the process, tools and systems available to support dynamic decision-making.  Reviews new technology and leads the development of more effective and efficient programs for the delivery of voice, video and data including knowledge of virtualized environments.  Ensures hardware and software is maintained and data is secured through proper back-ups and staff training.  Analyzes existing systems design and logic to provide more cost-effective use of technology and personnel.  Responsible for the improvement of existing software programs and develops new applications to meet future business needs. 
Supervises approximately six (6) or more direct reports.  Responsible for a budget of approximately $10M+.  Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements

Minimum Knowledge and Experience

Master's degree or higher plus seven years of experience in related field.  Official transcripts will be required.  *** Will be subject to a criminal background check.  Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check. ***
