Job Description

A Catering Coordinator for ENRG, INC. supports the overall success of a DMA (Designated Market Area) catering program. The Coordinator reports to a (ABM) Area Business Manager and is responsible for developing consistent store capacity in systems, production, packaging delivery and marketing. This position also works at a store level with GMs (General Managers) and a potentially a RCSM (Regional Catering Sales Manager) training new drivers and staff to daily exceed customer satisfaction.



This is primarily an operations role and during the first six months the position has no sales component. During this period, the focus is strengthening the support systems in each store to ensure consistent delivery.

  •   Develop someone in each store who takes ownership of daily catering operations.

  •   Recruit and train drivers.

  •   Move orders between stores in the (OMS) Order Management System.

  •   Work with customers to positively resolve any complaints.


    After six months the Catering Coordinator will meet with the ABM and RCSM and determine when to add sales components to the role.
    At that time they will add the duties of supporting DMA sales by:

    Pursuing marketing/branding opportunities.
    Supporting RCSM gathering leads.
    Accompanying RCSM on presentations.
    Working with ABM and RCSM to plan in store tastings of new menu items.

    Major Duties/Funtions/Tasks

    Daily partner with Catering Specialists and GMs to ensure adherence to policies regarding accepting of orders, proper uniform standards, established company safe food handling, and delivery guidelines.


  •   Monthly send email newsletter to ABM, GMs and RCSM.

  •   Weekly send brief email to area GMs highlighting areas of success.

  •   Weekly group calls to NCOM (National Catering Operations Manager) discussing challenges &


Customer Service:

  •   Responds to all comments and complaints within 24 hours and follows up with a written response to the ABM detailing the resolution.

  •   Daily communicates with customers in a friendly and service oriented manner. Development of Staff

  •   Under the supervision of an ABM work with GMs to hire and train store Catering Specialists.

  •   Direct the marketing portion of the Catering Specialists jobs.

  •   Assist ABM in rolling out new deployments as they relate to catering.

    Ensure all prep staff master the most current catering recipes.

  •   Monitor the ongoing training of DMA catering staff.

  •   Assist GMs Introducing staff to new catering software and procedures.

Job Requirements

 Run advertisements, and hold in store interviews.
 Train all drivers. 60 days after training spot audit new drivers.
 Maintain DMA wide roster of drivers.
 As business warrants direct drivers to non-home location stores. 

  •   Daily look at the ordering system multiple times and as business warrant move orders between stores and communicate moves to all involved GMs. 

  •  Communicate with GMs and be available to help set up and supervise on larger or VIP orders. Incentive programs 

  •  Support national operations and sales contests. 

  •  Work with ABM, GMs and NCOM to develop regional contests. 


  • Ensures each manager is receiving and displaying current menus and signs. 

  • Creates 4 block marketing lists for store drivers to use. 

  • Trains drivers to gather information on each delivery and to report it on follow up log. 

  • Work with RCSM on catering presentations. 

  • Coordinate with RCSM on following up with FTOs (First Time Orders) and other orders

  • The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical demands may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
