RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:

  • Performance of ongoing reactive & preventive work orders on building systems and manufacturing line systems.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair all manufacturing and Building systems.
  • Facilities & project activities
  • High Voltage 480v and above
  • Title 5
  • CFC compliance, documentation
  • Assist Scheduling
  • Provide direction and mentoring to BMA, Building Maintenance Technician and Building Engineer employees.
  • All BMA, Building Maintenance Technician and Building Maintenance Engineer responsibilities
  • Respond effectively to all emergencies.
  • Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in every day activities. This to include building automation systems, fire / life safety systems, and any other building related equipment.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Maintain compliance to State, County, or Municipality
  • Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
  • Must be willing and able to support any after hours building related activity as required.
  • Attend periodic training seminars
  • Interacts with external and internal customers with a positive demeanor.
  • Will be required to utilize e-mail, Corrigo, enter, query and change fields within a CMMS system (updating work orders). 
  • May be required to understand and utilize  Microsoft word and excel
  • On call duties and overtime as required
  • Steadily improve skills to achieve licence/certification status in one or more technical skill areas.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.  Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Electricians, High voltage is a higher skill set …controls, PLC, programming, troubleshooting, logic

Building Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Able to carry 50 lbs
  • Provide service for first response to
  • Works as a cohesive team member taking direction and training from engineering team.

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

  • High work order response time and closure percentages.
  • Client satisfaction.
  • Increased scope with on-going training.  
  • Maintain current skill set, and stay current with technology.
  • Willingness to learn and advance to a higher technical role.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent trade school certification, formalized training; vocational training; licences; core competency in a trade(s) having the ability to support listed objectives and responsibilities above are required.

Minimum eight years of experience required. This an experienced journeyman level position.

Requires expertise in a specialized skill of either high voltage (over 460 volts), production maintenance or specialized HVAC.

Has a strong aptitude and positive attitude for learning new skills.  Candidate should be able to take direction and mentoring from the professional/leadership site team.
