Chicago law firm is looking for an experienced client account analyst to join their account team. We are looking for candidates with law firm experience, preferably or similar professional services related experience. You will assist the accounting manager on a day to day basis with a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, know the ins and outs of legal billing and have strong problem solving skills. You will be administering and delivering route communications to administrative, processing and practice personnel regarding the status of billing and or collections processing issues to facilitate the efficient day to day work balance of the billing department. In addition, you will gather relevant information and prepare communications regarding the remediation of billing and collection issues and collection efforts on outstanding invoices.
The client account analyst will perform route data processing tasks, update internal processes and systems for opening matters to ensure data processed accurately reflects the data processed. You will also process pre-bills, monitor invoice status, research invoicing and payment discrepancies, identity and resolve problematic patterns and situations that may adversely affect the billing and collections efforts. This is a great chance to join a firm with a great presence in the Chicago area and also on a national scale. A college degree is preferred or equivalent experience. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft applications is a must along with at least 2-4 years of law firm billing/collections experience.
