Job Description

Under the general direction of the Clinical Directors, provides direct patient care. Collaborates with patients, family/significant others, peers, physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the delivery of healthcare services to patients. Assesses patient's needs, plans care, implements and evaluates the medical and nursing regimens in accordance with Company and nursing philosophy, policies/procedures and standards. Demonstrates leadership skills and a commitment to professional accountability and growth.

Must have a full understanding and in-depth knowledge of Operating Room standard practices including federal practice health and safety standards and be comfortable supporting practice personnel and operations. In this position you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the AAAASF Accreditation program with focus on practice health and safety compliance. Utilizes the nursing process to meet the age specific needs of the patient in all aspects of care: biophysical, psychosocial, education, safety/ environment and discharge planning.

Reviews and approves medical clearances for surgery. 
Supervises, leads and motivates clinical team.
Manages inventory orders and medical supplies in a cost efficient manner.
Works closely with the General Manager to optimize the quality of patient care, efficiency and productivity.

Job Requirements

-Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.

-Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferred.
-Staff Management experience is preferred.

-PACU Experience a plus.

-BCLS, ACLS certification required.

-Surgical/Anesthesia recovery experience a plus.

-Experience with AAAASF certification process a plus but not required.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
-Must be able to take a leadership role.
