Job Description

Our client in Oklahoma City, OK is NOW HIRING for an experienced Administrative Assistant to add to their growing team!

The Administrative Assistant role is a temp-to-hire position with a starting pay rate of $14 per hour. 

The Administrative Assistant role is responsible for the following:
  • Administrative and financial related tasks for their organization. 
  • Manage different aspects of supplier products, inspecting quality and arranging shipping costs. 
  • Ensure that orders are delivered on time and at cost.
  • Resolve billing and shipping problems and provide information to suppliers.
  • Identify suppliers, select merchandise and negotiate bills of sale for a business.
  • Inspect deliveries for shipping errors, improper handling, or quality issues.
  • Coordinate company purchases with other departments and authorize use of resources. 
  • Maintain accurate records of current and prospect suppliers and their performance, and so they need to possess strong data entry skills. 
  • Managing physical and digital purchasing records. 
  • Obtain quotes and find specific requirements for their organization's needs. 
  • Negotiate pricing, as well as other conditions with vendors to ensure the best pricing and profit margin for their organization. 
  • Remove costs and consolidate supplier requirements, and they must provide constant support to management executives. 
  • Follow current market trends related to materials and prices. 
  • Follow strict purchasing policies and procedures, as well as expedite orders and track deliveries to ensure company satisfaction. 
  • Maintain the tools to include a personal computer to create daily purchasing requisitions and reports, as well as send documents and orders for approval. 

To be considered for the Administrative Assistant position, candidates MUST meet the following criteria:
  • Must be excellent team players and work well independently. 
  • Must possess strong communication skills, as they report and deliver status reports to the supervisor or president in their department. 
  • Must have strong analytical abilities and work well under pressure. 
  • A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, commerce or related field is required for this position. 
  • In addition, relevant business certifications are a plus.
